New Fork/Front wheel/Handlebars
Short test ride w/ new front suspension :)
( skip the first 90 seconds to get to the riding part) ^^;;;;
CVT might be useful in the future... Also cut off some all-thread sticking out the side.
Work Visit at Priority Designs
Showin' off the 'ped to the co-workers.. Took it up and down the street few times. Top speed is around 45 mph with a range of 8-10 miles, depending on driving conditions. (the 80 lb. 24 AH lead-acid batteries aren't helping range.. or braking, for that matter).
Final Motor Mount Installed + Battery Tray
Final laser-cut/powder coated mount installed. At this point, I was still having trouble getting the motor to work with the batteries I ordered. It took about 2 weeks for me to realize what the issue was: solenoids- how do they work!? ;P
With the front pinion gear sliding on the motor shaft, chain line was easy to dial-in. ^______^
New Wheel Set, Machined Pinion Gears, Conversion Motor-Mount Protos
New (retro) cast wheel set: turned out to be considerably heavier than stock :(
Lathe master, Chris here: grinding away. I ordered hardened steel gears; so in order to do any kind of machining, we had to re-align the molecular structure with a small flame...
Matching up the existing 50cc motor holes with the conversion mount holes proved to be incredibly easy.
